PC+ ABS-polycarbonate, acrylonitrile-butadiene styrene alloy. The reason why it is named PC+ABS is that this resin can retain the advantages of PC and ABS to the greatest extent as the alloy.
PC+ABS combines the excellent characteristics of the two materials, the formability of Abs Material and the mechanical properties of PC, the impact strength and high thermal deformation temperature, and the properties of ultraviolet (UV) resistance. There are high impact resistance, high heat resistance, flame retardant grade, glass fiber reinforced grade, and so on. Good electroplating, excellent processing machinery performance balance. It can also maintain the characteristics of high impact strength at low temperatures, indoor and outdoor UV stability.
PC+ABS is generally opaque light ivory white, non-toxic, tasteless, both tough, hard, rigid characteristics, slow burning, the flame is yellow, there is black smoke, issued a special cinnamon smell, but no melting dripping phenomenon.
The shape and structure of PC+ABS injection molding products with the two components of the blend show complex changes and changes, for example: when PC+ABS is 25/75, PC in the ABS continuous phase granular dispersion, particles elongated along the injection direction; When the ratio of PC+ABS is not 75/25, ABS in PC is fibrous and discontinuous layer, and orientation along the injection direction; When PC+ABS is 50/50, ABS+PC is mainly discontinuous layered structure and arranged along the injection direction: when PC+ABS is 90/10-70/30 or 30/70-10/90, dispersed phase ABS or PC is bead structure or elongated powder particles in the injection direction of the injection spline edge, and the center is granular.
The ratio of PC and ABS in PC+ABS will affect the thermal stability of PC/ABS material.
