1. ABS is an amorphous and opaque resin, usually in the form of light yellow granules or beads. It has good comprehensive performance and is a tough, hard, and rigid thermoplastic engineering plastic. Acrylonitrile endows ABS with chemical corrosion resistance, oil resistance, and a certain degree of rigidity and hardness;
Abs Plastic 2. Butadiene improves the toughness, impact resistance, and cold resistance of ABS;
3. Styrene gives ABS good dielectric properties and gloss, as well as good processing flowability.
In addition, ABS is easy to process and shape. The melting temperature is 217~237 ℃, and the thermal decomposition temperature is greater than 250 ℃. The molding shrinkage rate is small, and the product has good dimensional stability.
PC Or ABS 4. ABS is non-toxic, odorless, and has low water absorption. Easy to carry out surface decoration such as painting, dyeing, electroplating, etc.
5. The disadvantage of ABS is that it contains double bonds generated by butadiene, resulting in poor weather resistance. Prolonged exposure outdoors can cause aging, discoloration, and even cracking, thereby reducing impact strength and toughness. ABS is easily soluble in aldehydes, ketones, esters, and chlorinated hydrocarbons, flammable, and has a low heat distortion temperature.
